I am configuring a Dispatcher Flush agent (DFA) to notify a 3 party applicaiton that content got activated so they can clear then own cq cache. However I am seeing that adding another agent to existing agents may block the activation to complete if my DFA is faling beacuse the 3 party app is down. So in that case the CQ page will still apear orange and green.
If there a configuration option I should use to avoid this issue?
Is there a better way to achive this?
We are using CQ5.4
You could always move the custom flush agent to the publish instance. If the agent fails or gets blocked, it will not impact the status icon on author. Keep in mind, if the agent is deployed on all publish instances, the message will be sent multiple times.
You can also configure the agent on one publish instance, but if that node goes down, now message will be sent.
