Sorry, we currently do not support signatures or integrate with EchoSign.
The only work around would be a "simple" electronic signature. A check box that would say something like "By checking this and hitting submit you agree to...". Of course, this may be too simple for what you are looking for.
Thank you Randy,
That was quick. I guess we could also place an attachment box and have the applicant upload a pdf of their signature, with a check box including your verbiage.
Is anything available to do this yet?
I tried simply putting a blank box / picture on the form, opening it on the ipad using adobe reader, singing it on there and sending it through email. However i could do with this on the server so when I download the response as a PDF its on the server.
Please let me know if anything is in the pipeline for this!
Can you please advise if this is now resolved in the latest version? I'm planning on using PDF forms on mobile phones for Engineer jobs and we could do with the ability to obtain signatures.
Update: I've found a work around that works quite well on the phones.
Create a small blank picture and insert it into your form. Now create the form as usual saving as a PDF.
When it comes to signing the form select the insert comment button, choose the pen and write away over your picture.
Note that the signature can go outside of the area but will move behind any form fields so they cannot be obscured.
Hope this helps anyone needing a similar solution.
This solution does not work if you submit the form to the server, as only completed fields are transmitted. This solution is only good if you send the form by email.
Ideally, I would like to be able to add a signature field to the form and submit it to the server.
I'm fairly new at this but for the server side of things I'd suggest you investigate formscentral
I believe there's an option for customer signatures.
- Distribute forms as a writable PDF.
- Give respondents time to complete the PDF offline and submit online.
- Allow respondents to download PDF or save for their records.
I hope this helps.
Formscentral cannot deal with signatures
