I work in proposals with a lot of trademarked names. When I was working in Word I had it set up in autocorrect so that I could just type the product name and hit the space bar, and the TM would be automatically added. I'm having trouble doing this in InDesign. Autocorrect says "Entry contains invalid character" when I copy and paste a TM symbol in there. Hitting Alt+2 while in the Add to Autocorrect List isn't working either. Anyone have suggestions? I'm hoping that Find+Replace at the end isn't the only way to do it, as that might change all my text alignment. The best way would be in real time as I type.
Thanks for any help!
Don’t hold me to this but I believe if you find the XML file containing the autocorrect terms you can add the symbol there and it will work.
Ok that was frightening but I tried it. I have a little HTML experience from a decade ago. I did make the change, but then when I went to save the file, it said Access denied.
It is in Glyphs. Place cursor at insertion point. Click the Glyph ... presto.
