Have repeatedly tried to install FP, after installing the end page says that it has been installed but whenever a video or news clip is selected to watch or view; a message is given that FP needs to be installed. Using a Windows Vista 32 bit desktop, have turned off Norton antivirus. Is having an up-to date version of Google Chrome important? Sure would appreciate any help!   Thanks, Chris

If you use Chrome as your browser, then you don't need to bother with installing Flash Player; Chrome comes with Flash Player embedded.

The latest Chrome version will always contain the latest Flash Player.

As I wrote, Chrome already comes with Flash Player preinstalled; you cannot uninstall or install it.

Maybe it needs to be enabled?  It's really a Chrome issue.

Chris,

Could you please type the following in Google Chrome's address bar: chrome://plugins

Click Details and see if there are entries for Flash?

Thanks,

Sunil
