Hope this isn't a really daft question, but can anyone tell
me how I can prevent resources such as css files, graphics or even
xml files being automatically copied and updated to the build path
in Flex Builder 2? The default behaviour seems to be that every
file is automatically updated when saved in the project source
location however .mxml and .as files are ignored. Is there a way to
ignore other file types as well or specific source directories?
Sorry if its not clear. I'll try and explain by example.
I have a project folder that I'm working from which contains
all my source files MXML,AS on my local machine. Within that folder
I also have a number of graphics and other assets which are
embedded into the application.
I set up my build path as a network path to a folder on the
web server so I can test and debug with the live services. In doing
so, all files within the project folder are copied over to the web
server automatically on creation or modification. This creates
unecessary clutter on the web server as resources that are already
embedded within the swf are not required as seperate files on the
