Can't open project in Premiere Elements 10

    Hero Prinny

I've worked for hours on a video, and just recently finished it. I was able to burn a disc and send it to my family.

The other day, I thought I'd do some organizing on my computer, and categorized my videos in a folder. I decided I'd burn another disc and went to open my project. Adobe asked me where I moved my files, so I showed it, but suddenly, it just crashes, with no sort of error message.

Was all that work in vain?

*I'm still able to open new projects.

The "Where is file ____ ?" is common, and as it should be, when you break the absolute Paths that PrE links to for Assets. What is NOT common is for PrE to crash, when you use the Finder to locate the files, and re-link to them.

Can you provide the full specs. of your computer, and especially the I/O sub-system, i.e. your HDD's, their size, speed, controller type and how you have them allocated, plus where you Moved your Assets to.

This ARTICLE goes into more detail on the re-linking of those Moved Assets.

          Good luck,
