    Multicharacter style in variable

    S. Sankar Level 1

      Hi Experts,

Is there any option available to assign multi character style for variables?

For example, a bold content (bold character style applied) have some special characters which need to be mapped with another character style for different font mapping. The issue is if we assign a bold character style for variables, the special character styles are not included in the variable list.

Please share some workaround to overcome this issue.

          I don't understand your question.

Perhaps this will help, though. A variable is a single character as far as ID is concerned when applying formatting. Because it is a single character you cannot apply different formatting to different parts of the same variable, and it will not wrap across a line break. Sometimes it is possible to set up multiple variables to capture things that need to be formatted in chunks.
