              Hi Todd,

Wow..  This guy had me download Google chrome (which I do not like); when it downloaded, I lost the chat session.  And, Google Chrome didn’t work either.

I hope you can help me.

              Best Regards,

                Hi,

I'm sorry about that.  It's not a browser issue, it's a formula in a table in your form.

The formula has a circular reference, and most of the time we handle them correctly and display the error to you.  However there's one type of circular reference (there's a few types) that we don't handle properly, and we have a bug that can cause the app to hang or generate the error you are seeing.  I've removed the formula, so you should be able to open the document.

I'll file a bug, and we'll get it fixed, so that when a formula like this comes up again, it doesn't hang.  But the fix may take a release or two to get out there.  So you should avoid the circular reference formulas.  One thing to note - in FormsCentral, when you enter a formula, by default we copy the formula to all cells in that column.  When you create a formula in one cell, that refers to the cell right above it, that can create a circular reference.  I suspect you did something like that.  Send me a private message with the details of the formula you were creating and I can help you design the right formula (and avoid this issue).

Please confirm that you are able to open your document now.

Also note, for future support, it's best you come ot the forums or our support alias, rather than chat.  When you come to the forums, it's monitored by the engineering team that builds FormsCentral and you'll get the right response.

                Thanks,

                Todd

                  Hi Todd,

I’m checking it out right now.  I seem to have problems getting the formula to open on a table so that I can edit it; or saving the formula without it inserting something into it.

I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!  Thank you.

Any hints on working with tables?

                  Best Regards,

                    Hi Rob,

Can you confirm, you can now open the form?

                    Thanks,

                    Todd

                      Hi Todd,

Yes.  But I’m having a real problem getting the formula to show so I can edit it.

                      Best Regards,

                        Hi,

Sorry I wasn't clear before - I removed the offending formula that was preventing you from opening the form.  It's no longer there.  If you send me a private message telling me more about your form and the formula you are trying to create, I can help you create the correct formula.

                        Thanks,

                        Todd
