New to DW8 and need a push in the right direction

    Leighton_Flowers
I know this question is going to seem elementary, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. I recently purchaced a web template online and I'm attempting to edit it. It has a flash intro and has some flash buttons for the about us, contacts etc...

I've edited the content of the text in both the flash (using flash 8) and the html text page (using GoLive) and now I'm just trying to merge the two together. Regardless of where I place the SWF in my folder and play the flash, the flash text is edited but the regular page text is still the same sample template text that came with the purchase. How do I merge these two into one? Additionally, in the flash editing it is strange because the interactive buttons don't appear and can't be edited. Where can I get to those?

Again, I know this must be simple to most of you, but I just can't figure it out. I've read several help menus and even watched all the demos I could find but I'm still missing something... PLEASE HELP.

Thank you so much for your time!

You were mislead. This is a terrible place for a new user to start.

First of all, you never want to have your navigation in Flash. Then you
rarely want to have a Flash intro. Finally, you really need to have a firm
understanding of HTML to start working with DW. Do you?

I recommend you put this template on the back burner, spend some time
reading about HTML (and maybe CSS), and forget about Flash. Then take a
look at some nice HTML templates here -

or even the PagePacks here -
