2. Re: Trying to Install Flash Player.
steve mains Aug 2, 2012 1:18 AM (in response to Pat Willener)Mac OS X version 10.7.4SafariI don't know why a password is needed. I start the process of installing Flash Player and I get a box which says permission is needed and lists my name and under that asks for my password. I tried my Mac or Apple password and that is not it. It appears that I have a password associated with Adobe but I have no memory of creating one (though I might have at some point) and cannot remember what it is. The install process will not continue w/o the password. I have not been able to find any option allowing me to say I forgot my password so it could be e-mailed or otherwise provided to me or somehow allow me to reset a password. Got any advice?

Chris Campbell Aug 2, 2012 3:23 PM (in response to steve mains)The password requirement is from OS X, not Flash Player. This should be the same password you used when you setup your computer's user account. This Apple doc might help:
OS X: Changing or resetting an account password
