I should also mention that I tried placing Button Sample 2 on a different page and got the same error.
I have tried to replicate the issue at my end and I'm able to add multiple photoshop buttons to the Muse pages.
To further investigate I'll need to look at your file and buttons, Please send your .muse file with the buttons you are placing and a link to this forum topic to my attention to email@example.com. If your .muse file is larger than 20MB use a filesharing service like SendThisFile or Adobe SendNow.
I've just received the same error. Has this issue been resolved? If so, what was the solution?
Could you please check if the issue is specific to just one Muse file or is it with all the files on your computer?
You can try imporing both Photoshop buttons in a new sample Muse file and let us know if you are able to place it or not.
I think I figured out the issue and haven't had it happen again. I think
that the photoshop file that is being placed must first be closed in
photoshop before placing into Muse. After discovering that that works, I
didn't have a problem placing the buttons.
Thank you for your help though.
I've had this exact problem with the same error message. Have tried using the Photoshop button place command in two different sites I've been building. Doesn't make any difference if the file is closed or open in PS, in my case. If I might inquire, how many layers did your PS files have? Thanks so much.
In my case, it worked after changing PSD file extension to lowercase. XXX.PSD to XXX.psd
I can reproduce this error. An uppercase ".PSD" extension causes this to happen when using "File -> Place Photoshop Button..." KYLE KIM's workaround is correct, changing the extension to lowercase solves the problem.
We'll get this fixed in a future version!
This should be fixed in the 2015.0 release.
I gave up entirely trying to use this feature, which had received quite a bit of promotion from Adobe. Should have been acknowledged, addressed and fixed long ago.
What other issues with the PSD import caused you to give it up?
It was many months ago that I tried to use the PS button. Read the Adobe instructions, watched videos, and it never functioned. Have trouble believing I'm the only one that encountered this.
Well if you ever give it another go in the new version of Muse, feel free to respond to this thread and I'll try to help out!
