Peru Bob Aug 6, 2012 3:23 PM (in response to OrlandoJetset)I'm sure someone with more expertise will chime in soon, but my first observation is the partitions in the laptop. They will slow you down. You should never use partitions in an editing machine.
Also, you should have a bare minimum of two internal hard drives (preferably three in a workstation).

For my laptop, I will not be adding any hard drives (since I will hardly ever use this to do SERIOUS editing). So given that my projects and media will be on that portable drive hooked up via USB, are you suggesting that I dump the partition Im currently using as Adobe Cache/Scratch and just have ONE partition? In other words, are you saying there are no benefits to partitioning that 320GB internal drive?
