Make sure you card is in the supported list. You can add it. I don't have the link to the technique handy but it's here on the forum.
The 285 is supported, but you may still have a driver issue somewhere. Well, typical Mac crap, I suppose. Update it, if possible. If that's not an option, then things will probably have to be as they are.
Thanks, I do have the latest driver for the 285. Perhaps a nother card is in my future?
The newest drivers are always a good idea - make sure to update your Blackmagic card as well. They have an updated driver for Snow Leopard that fixes some major issues in Premiere.
Just tried the newest driver for my Blackmagic HDLink, and it looks promising - thanks!
I have the exact same problem. This didn't happen until my most recent GPU driver update and I too am using a GTX 285. REALLY annoying!!!
MacPro 5,1 3.33GHz 6 Core
OSX 10.7.5 (this could be the issue too)
AE CS6 11.0.1
I have a Matrox MXO2 mini, but that's only ever worked occasionally with AE anyway.
Any ideas, greatfully recieved.
I was getting the same error as well.
What I did to fix it was shutting down AE and then deleting the preferences file found here:
Once restarted the issue is resolved.
