InDesign not allowing Save under OS X Lion

    Bryan Schappel

We're seeing a strange thing happening. I just upgraded one of my users to OS X Lion and now InDesign (CS4, CS5, and CS6) does not create the "lock" file when opening a file. This causes INDD to bring up the Save As dialog when a simple Save is performed.

We're opening the document in its correct version of INDD so we're not seeing this on converted files. This is also happening with files on the local hard drive.

If we go ahead and do a Save As then INDD creates a lock file and regular saves work fine.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Anyone have a fix? This has just started happening with the switch to Lion.
