I'm having a problem converting urls to hyperlinks in CS5.5 for Mac OSX. Whenever a hyphen or a parenthesis appears in the url all the text following this character is excluded from the hyperlink. I know I can create/edit hyperlinks manually but the report I'm working on has hundreds of references, each with their own url, so I'd rather do this automatically if possible.
Sorry, can't help you here, but would be interested in the solution as we have had the same issues. We run on Windows 7.
You're seeing the results of an automatic conversion. I assume you're talking about using the automatic method in Adobe Acrobat? The only reliable method is to do it manually.
I did this in InDesign using the 'Convert URL to Hyperlink' option in the Hyperlinks menu, so it decides for itself what is or isn't a URL. I've since found the following plugin which has helped with the hyphen problem mentioned above, but not parentheses: http://dtptools.com/product.asp?id=uhin.
Thanks for your help
