I am trying to resize one image to 4 different sizes. So far I have an action created to do all of this, with only one minor problem. Whenever it saves the images, they are always saved as the wrong file name. I was wondering if there would be a way to keep the original file name, but then add a suffix to it- all within the action.
If it's not possible to automatically add a suffix, how do I keep the original file name when it's saving within the action?
I found an older post (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/470230) that was very similar to what I'm trying to accomplish, but the question was never fully resolved. If anyone knows a way that this could work, it would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I am using Photoshop CS6 on my Mac.
Thanks to conroy I now know two ways to do what you want.
The conroy way create an action to do the 4 resize and save as then use use menu File>Automate>Batch use its dialog to batch that action and override the save as steps and have the Batch process add suffixes sequences to the file name.
The other way Download Image Processor Pro from Russell Brown web site and install it. Then use menu File>automate>Image Processor Pro. Customise the interface to save the four sizes you need no action is needed just to do the resize the Image Processor Pro can do that.
Thank you both so much! This is perfect!
