Hello folks, I'm working on a project, which was originally edited by another editor, I am fixing his mistakes and redoing a few things. One of my issues are, most of the audio in the timeline is maxed out to 6db and clipping from the rest of the audio. Is there a quick and easy fix that would eliminate me from having to manually go in and drop each audio clip back down to 0db?
You could go into the Audio Mixer Panel and drop the volume for the entire track. If there are additional sounds on the same track that you do not want modified, just transfer them to an uneffected track. Does that solve the problem?
Hope this helps!
That's basically just as useful as what I am doing now. I dont know what this guy was doing, but, some clips with the same audio levels are just boosted or turned down, causing me to basically go one by one, unless there was some kind of batch process.
