How did you interpret the alpha channel? AE should be able to interpret it automatically, but it sounds like you may have changed it.
I'm not sure if i did or not.most likely i did on accident.but lets say i did.how do i fix it?
Delete the footage from the project, then reimport. If the problem persists, you can probably use an AE blend mode like Add or Lighten to ger the look you want.
Add or Lighten only works with muzzle flashes if i do bullet shells and do that then i lose the bullet shell color..
From the Video Copilot Site about Action Escentials:
FORMAT INFORMATION: 2K & 720p
Main Video Format: QuickTime RGB + Alpha, Video Codec: PNG
Video Previews: QuickTime MP4, 480 x 360
So, if you import a clip you should see this in the Proejct Pannel:
You should make sure File Interpretation looks like this:
If neither are true then open up the clip in QuickTime and check the Clip Info. If it does not look like this:
then you are using the Video Previews version, or your footage has been transcoded (copied), or it has been bootleged.
