So i recently bout a NookColor. I downloaded and saved many books from epubbud.com to my computer and then opened them in Adobe Digital Editions. The titles, authors and covers were wrong so I changed them in the Adobe Digital Editions manifest.xml But when I carried the books over to my Nook then ejected my Nook and opened the files, they were wrong! The titles were the original wrong ones and the cover on the home screen appears as a blank white square. (For example, I downloaded "I'm the Vampire, That's Why", and the title appeared as "in1" in Adobe Digital Edition and with an unknow author. I changed this in the manifest to the correct one but when downloaded to my Nook, it still appears as "in1") Is there anyway to fix this?
I think what you're seeing is embedded in the ebook itself, not in the
Manifest file. That would mean the error comes from the download source,
Yep you can fix the title in the book. EPUBs are .zip files and there will be an .opf file which is an xml document which has a metadata element that will have a dc:title element.
Alternately you can use caliber and do an epub to epub conversion which should fix both the title and the cover image - but I'm not sure how well that will work on a DRM protected book.
Thnx so much! This helped!
