Peter Grainge Aug 20, 2012 11:59 PM (in response to AMCGracer)Thread move to FrameMaker Integration forum.
I don't think you can freely rename the files for the reason you state. However you can have them created to a formula. It is in the online help and in the topic on my site about Importing and Linking Word documents, it is the same process for this point.
I am not a FM user so maybe one of those guys can add more.

AMCGracer Aug 21, 2012 2:41 PM (in response to mattrsullivan)Hi Matt,
Yes, I am linking. I need to maintain the link to FrameMaker as that is where I author the source, and I need to be able to update RH with the changes in Frame.
I have been playing with the feature to create the filenames using a formula, but the building blocks impact the filename only; htm is always appended as the extension. I have asked support to see look into a way of forcing the extension.
Does anyone know if it will work if I rename the output to HTML, and then S&R htm to html within the topic files themselves. I would think if I got every instance, it should. So far, my tests are not proving that out, but I think I can get development to write some scripts for me.
Thanks again for all the help! I'm really learning the tool much better through this troubleshooting process

mattrsullivan Aug 21, 2012 2:52 PM (in response to AMCGracer)Ah, so it's the extension you need to change...
I think you're on the right track with a S&R script. As long as it gets all the references, you should be ok. My concern would be in anything that might get wrapped in JavaScript...your search and replace tool may not handle that well.
