    404 on CQ home depending on browser

    BenZahler Level 1

      hi,

      a few days ago, Chrome started displaying 404 Error messages from Sling when I accessed the CQ home (e.g. http://localhost:5502). Also, for anything under /content and /apps, I received a 404 in Chrome (see below). The same URL used to work in FF and in Safari.

      Since today, I also get 404 messages in FF and Safari for my local server while it is limited to Chrome on our test environment.

      CRX and CRXDE work fine in all browsers.

      Has anyone ever experienced this?

      any suggestions?

      The CQ logs do not contain anything that seem suspicous to me.

      Here is the HTTP response:

      <html>

         <head>

            <meta content="HTML Tidy for Java (vers. 26 Sep 2004), see www.w3.org" name="generator"/>

            <title>404 Not Found</title>

         </head>

         <body>

            <h1>Not Found</h1>

            <p>The requested URL / was not found on this server.</p>

            <hr/>

            <address>ApacheSling/2.2 (Day-Servlet-Engine/4.1.12, Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 1.6.0_33, Mac OS X 10.8 x86_64)</address>

         </body>

      </html>

      thanks for any help,

      Ben

          firgured it partly out: seems to have something to do with the hostname my computer has when CQ is started. I was in a VPN, where my computer picked up a different computer name(also IP of cource). This somehow messed things up.

          I disconnected from the network, restarted CQ and now it's working again.
