just upgraded to indesigncs6 and when i do a "save as" - it defaults to the desktop, not to the location of the current document. any ideas on this? CS5.5 would always save to the existing folder where the"old" file was. it's just a few less steps... thanks in advance.
If you are opeing an existing file from a previous version ID sees the converted file as a new copy (to prevent accidentally overwriting and destroying the old version). As with any new file, doing a Save As defaults to the last location where you performed that operation (just as it did in CS5.5 and earlier). Once saved in CS6 it will default to the current folder from which the file was opened.
Ah - thank you so much! That makes perfect sense. Whew
