use fuse animation. almost any pro is using this animation for his/her projects now. it's at mosessupposes.com. it's very easy to implement. it's a set of custom classes. the classes do include a sine animation, probably exactly what you want. you have a ton of control and i promise you'll use it for everything from now on.
Thanks for the suggestion.... Does fuse work like actionscript? I want to avoid doing timeline-based animations for this kind of thing. as I want to make my movie as code-controlled as possible so that I can change elements easier. If it is easy to implement, does this mean it is easy to learn? The reason I ask is that I'm working under a deadline, and need to get this done in the most efficient way - for me - right now...
