    Customize Keyboard Accelerators?

    thefluffybunny Community Member

I use Acrobat X Pro for marking up documents, and would LOVE to have keyboard shortcuts that I could customize. The tools I most commonly use that do not have keyboard accelerators (which I have enabled) are: draw arrow; draw line; draw connected lines; edit object; draw circle; redact; and draw.

I know that Bluebeam has keyboard shortcuts for all of their editing/commenting tools, so why not acrobat X pro?

Also, is there a good place/website to obtain third-party add-ins for Adobe to make it more useful/functional?

The keyboard shortcuts in the Acrobat X Family cannot be changed. As an enterprise software suite, it is an important part of the user interface design that every copy works exactly the same. This simplifies deployment and helps with remote customer support, both of which are a high priority for the target Acrobat customers, so it's not likely to change anytime soon.

Adobe does not have an 'exchange' for the enterprise product range as it does for Creative Suite so there is no single source of scripts or plugins. If you're looking for a particular function that Acrobat does not have, Google is probably the best way to find if there's a product available to fit that need.
