There is also the HUD color picker in newer versions of Photoshop: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-73c1a.h tml#WSba26e7b0742782c7-ca98dbb124ffdb1d60-8000

mattias@gordon.se Aug 23, 2012 9:55 PM (in response to JJMack)Yes, I was thinking of the Colorpicker. Then you are more free to find the colour you want. Or you maybe can create you own swatches. Would this plugin be of help to get faster acces to get new colours?

JJMack Aug 24, 2012 4:26 AM (in response to mattias@gordon.se)IMO you need to play with the Color Palette some to see how to use it. To me its has a faster easier user interface then the color picker. You can set both the forground and background colors to any color or B/W quit like the Color Picker without all the input fields and required user intervention. Just select a color or B/W in the rainbow and adjust with its sliders. You can also use it to pop-up te color picker using a double click on the forfround or background swatch in the palette.

mattias@gordon.se Aug 24, 2012 8:58 AM (in response to JJMack)I actually bought the Colorpicker I mentioned above and a ColorMixer there as well. Seems to work very well. I will also get familiar with the Kuler and hope all this will help my work with colours.
Thanks for you helping ansers. -

In order to use the HUD picker you have to have a video card that meets the OpenGL requirements and have these options turned on in Preferences > Performance (check to see if the option "Enable OpenGL Drawing" is checked).
