At this time it isn't possible to specify a default value for a form field. You can vote on that feature idea here:

Okay, first, the logic in these forms is very restrictive. I'm trying to set up a form where the users can pick A, B, C, and then the choice "ABC" is chosen, along with the price, and they go check out. Otherwise they're looking at a complicated drop-down with 10 or 12 choices in it, hard to read, etc. But the radio button with the "ABC" choice is not checked by default (as I would like it to be). I'd make it mandatory, but the different choices, all different fields, so that's impossible. Here's the test form: https://adobeformscentral.com/?f=pbWI-4inTGMvU58Q9VB8tA&preview#2
Second, the link you have in your post above, Brian, isn't working. I tried yesterday to vote on something and couldn't grasp where the button or whatever was to vote.
This is a cool little tool but I'm finding that I'm redesigning my form to accomodate the restrictions of logic.
If I could set what was chosen based on a series of previous choices (which is what I'm trying to mock up), that would be ideal.
