To get 5.1 SS output through my SB 24-bit Live card, I had to use ASIO4All. It is a free driver, that when downloaded and installed, is then chosen in the Audio Hardware>ASIO settings. It worked perfectly in both PrPro and Audition. Might be worth a look: http://www.asio4all.com/
That has worked well for many, with simple consumer cards, up to some pretty esoteric pro cards.
Tried ASIO4All and finally got Premiere audio to map in 5.1. But things look a bit sketchy with those drivers. And when I opened Audition, audio playback stuttered and stopped after I set ASIO4All as the driver.
I would appreciate some Adobe response as to whether it's something missing in the Creative SB Recon3D drivers or that current generation of CS6 won't integrate with that card. The Creative drivers are the latest version for Win7 64bit.
