I have some DVCProHD 720 30p footage in a QT container that I am unable to use in Premiere CS6. When I import the footage, I get just a white frame throughout the entire footage. This does not occur on any other footage that I have and I do not have this problem in CS5.5.
DVCPRO HD doesn't come in a QuickTime container, so what you have has been converted.
Try getting your hands on the original media.
True, it doesn't natively. But it does if it's been rewrapped into QT. Eitherway, Premiere CS5.5 can display it properly but CS6 can't. And Premiere can encode DVCPro HD to QuickTime so it should be able to view it. That's my issue: it worked in 5.5 but not in 6.
That's true for a few media types.
The solution for those others has been to go back to 5.5 until a patch comes along.
Or, get your hands on the originals.
