I'd like to ask the braintrust about guidelines for distributing InDesign files to as wide an audience as possible -- Mac and PC.
I am thinking, for example, of using CS3 and saving the files with all images embedded and plug-ins disabled. Any thoughts?
Anyone know of a good set of guidelines for ultimate template compatability?
Embedding the images is probably not as good a plan as packaging the file and distributing the links along with it. And don't use Mac-flavored TT, T1 or .dfont fonts if you expect to share across platforms.
