I am having a heck of a time exporting a backup gif banner from an fla file I created. Seemed easy enough to select export>animated gif, but the quality of
the small bitmap is terrible, and the file size quadrupled. Any help?
Can you show an image of what it looks like before and after you publish it?
That does not look too bad considering you are creating a gif file. Do you realize that gif images can only contain 256 colors? You should check the number of colors your images are using before they get converted - likely thousands and thousands. You might try creating the images as gifs first and see if that helps, though you might notice an immediate loss of image quality.
