Premiere Elements is a video editor and so, if you create your slideshow in Premiere Elements, it will be in video resolution -- which, at most, is 1920x1080.
If you want to keep your slides in virtually the same resolution, you should be using a slideshow program like Pro Show Gold.
How will the output file(s) be displayed?
Might be something in that info, that would be useful.
I do agree, that from the sound of it, ProShow Gold, or their Producer, might be the better products.
Thanks for your replies. What I am talking about is a stop motion animation made of photographs. It also includes sound. And I need to keep the dimension of the initial images.
OK. For that, I second Steve's rec. for ProShow Gold/Producer.
I need to keep the dimension of the initial images.
Why? Note that producing your stop animation does not change the dimensions of your original images if that is what concerns you.
What is the final output you want to produce?
Insanity is hereditary, you get it from your children
