I just uploaded 13.0.1 upgrade of Photoshop CS6. I didn't KNOW there was an update. I only found out about it in the thread on 'CS6 running slow'.
When I select HELP/UPDATES from CS6 and select preferences I get this screen. The option to 'notify me of updates on the menu bar' was originally UNCHECKED. I have only altered it myself yesterday to tick it (as you see below).
Should it not install CS6 with a default of that box ticked? How else do we find out about important updates?
Or, am I missing something here?
Thanks, Janelle. Those are useful ways to check. But I think the default should be for that box to be checked on installation of the product. That way you automatically get notification of any updates.
Normally that's enabled by default.
Why it was disabled for you is anyone's guess. Any chance you brought up the Application Manager update preferences before and unchecked it accidentally? I wouldn't discount the possibility that Adobe's installer just didn't set it properly for you.
