1. Re: Audio out of sync in premiere pro cs6 after capturing
_techkid123_ Sep 5, 2012 12:23 PM (in response to inef1)Hi
Captured using a USB cable or a firewire?
did we import those videos in PP and then check with the audio and video.
Could be a permission issue as well. A good troubleshooting step can be stop all the applications while the video is being captured.
Hope it Helps
Thanks

inef1 Sep 5, 2012 11:38 PM (in response to ECBowen)Yes, that too. On the camera the footages is sync. As soon as I upload them via Premiere Pro CS6 into the iMAC (which is a real powerfull tool) than the problem is there.

ECBowen Sep 6, 2012 10:01 AM (in response to inef1)Go Into edit and then preferences in Premiere. Go down to Capture and check mark use Device Control Timecode. Then launch capture utility and see if that fixes it.

inef1 Sep 6, 2012 10:40 AM (in response to ECBowen)Of course one needs to go to Use Device Control Time Code and check if that is is set on PAL and the device is ok. Not sure what you want me to check mark.

RSA 777 Jan 11, 2013 11:48 AM (in response to Jim_Simon)Hi Jim,
It may not capture to mp4, but it imports mp4.
My footage is an ancient VHS family video, about 60 minutes. It imported fine.
I imported into QT and it is in sync. I am going to export and
then import the result into PP when I return tonight. -

Jim_Simon Jan 11, 2013 2:20 PM (in response to RSA 777)You may have better luck going back to the original VHS and using PP to capture to a DV file.

John T Smith Jan 11, 2013 2:39 PM (in response to RSA 777)How did you convert a VHS tape to mp4... what hardware and software?
Go to http://www.grassvalley.com/products/converters for a digitising device that will create DV AVI

RSA 777 Jan 11, 2013 10:05 PM (in response to Jim_Simon)Sync issue solved. Exporting from QT was a mistake. Took forever and
didn't work.Saving from QT was just a few minutes. Then when I imported into
PP there was no sync issue. Thanks,
Rick

Captured tape with Scenalyzer. Edited avi in Avid Liquid. As I said, years ago. Imported
edited avi in Squeze to create mp4.

Big Vissie Jan 26, 2013 8:07 AM (in response to inef1)Hi,
I'm sorry to ask within this topic, but I am using a Sony HVR-Z1 as well and am having trouble capturing in CS6. It says that the capture device is offline. It seems that you had the same problem and I was wondering if you can tell me how you fixed that.
Hope to hear from you!

RSA 777 Jan 26, 2013 8:47 AM (in response to Big Vissie)Good morning Lynn,
I doubt this will help, but whenever I have issues importing tapes, I try
something else. I double check the software's manual because
sometimes, even if I have done the same thing several times, I add
or miss something. If that does not work I close the program and restart
the computer and camcorder and try again ... with a different tape. If
that doesn't work I use a different program. I use an old HP workstation
I paid $99 for on Ebay that's running XP and I capture with Scenalyzer.
Then I copy file to a USB drive and input to Premiere. Sorry, I figure the
problem is me, not the hardware or software and it usually is me because
when the next project comes along PP usally imports fine.
