A new version of Muse is available

The next time you launch Muse you will be prompted to update your installed version. This latest update includes major fixes for improved application stability. To ensure your app is running smoothly, install the update today. The latest Muse update includes the following bug fixes:

Build 2.1.974

FTP Upload

The new "Upload to FTP Host" feature would generate errors if the target site was not located at the root of the hosting provider and the full path to upload was not provided. FTP Upload now works correctly without requiring the full path be entered.
Fixed bug that would generate errors if the target directory included a trailing slash "/".
Fixed bug where FTP upload could fail when uploading to Mac or Linux based servers.

Text

Fixed a bug that resulted in a crash shortly after launch for some users who are running Windows XP.
Fixed a bug on that could result in a crash when using the Russian input method (or those for other languages) on the Mac.

Widgets

Fixed a bug where an outer glow effect would be applied incorrectly when applied to the hero image in a slideshow if the image was smaller than the hero image frame.
Fixed a bug that could result in corrupt menus as a result of undo and/or redo of actions involving the adding or deleting of pages. This corruption was resulting in errors/crashes when attempting to alter the page organization in Plan view.
Clicking on the next/previous button or a thumbnail in a Slideshow or Composition while in the browser now halts autoplay.
An Accordion widget set to export with all panels initially closed was incorrectly drawing one of the accordion tabs in the active state.
Fixed a bug with the handling of text attributes across states that could prevent text attributes from being properly set in states.
Fixed a bug where slideshow and composition widget thumbnails would fail to work in preview and browser if particular combinations of attributes were set across states.
Fixed a bug where the submit button in forms would draw incorrectly when previewed/exported if a System font was applied.

Other

The Publish Complete confirmation dialog always referred to "Your temporary site…" regardless of whether the site published to was a temporary site or a paid site. The text has been corrected.
Fixed issue where graphic attributes were incorrectly exported in cases where rasterized images were shared between multiple objects.
Fixed a bug to allow placement of an Adobe Edge .oam file that either has non-ASCII characters in its name, or which was created while Edge was running on a non-English operating system (e.g. Mac OSX in French). This feature has been changed to use a different library that doesn't have this limitation.
Fixed a bug that resulted in "http://" sometimes being incorrectly added to links entered in the Hyperlink control (i.e. mailto:foo@bar.org, tel:2065551212, etc.).
Corrected date format used in generated sitemap.xml file.

Seems like it's hidden among 2,000,000 pages in Adobe's website....

When Muse is launched with an internet connection it will let you know if an update is available and give you the option to update.

The most recent update was 2 weeks ago (version 2.1).

I've cicked "Install Now" after launching Muse, and 5 times already after the install, a dialogue window appears saying it failed.

Please provide anohter URL from where I can download.

Mac or Windows?

If Mac, please follow these steps:

1) Ensure that Muse is completely uninstalled: drag Adobe Muse from the Applications folder to the trash and empty the trash.
2) Download Muse from the following link: http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/adobemuse/builds/muse_2-3_install_mac.dmg.
3) Install

Please note that this build won't work if Muse is already installed; you must uninstall previous versions of Muse first.

Hi Zak,

I'm on my Mac only and I have the 'join the Adobe Beta Program' ticked but am not getting an update notification. Presently am on Muse version 2.2. What could be wrong? Thanks.

Thanks. I did as you said, all seems to have installed properly. How do I determine that have the latest version with all the fixes? The version reads as follows:

v2.3, Build 50, CL 771675
AIR Runtime: 3.4.0.2710

topelovely, please double check your Muse version in the About Adobe Muse dialog. you should have 2.3.

As for the Private Beta Program, you can join now, but we don't have a Beta build of 3.0 available yet. Once we do, all discussion of the Private Beta should be limited to the forum on prerelease.adobe.com.

nyds0806, that's the latest.

Anytime you launch Muse with an internet connection, Muse will check to see if an update is available. If there is, Muse will put up a dialog giving you the option to update.

The install failure you encountered was related to a code signing certificate problem with builds that preceeded the 2.2.6 build. It should be a one-time problem. Now that you're on 2.3 future updates will provide you an in-app notification and, when accepted, update without a problem.

Zak, same issue as topelovely. I see that the current version is 2.2 and there is no update notification present upon launch of Muse. (with internet connection) Tried an uninstall/reinstall as well and same result. Thanks.

Hi Zak, I have checked several times, shut down Muse and back. My Internet connection is on. No Notification. It used to notify me, but I have not been notified of the 2.3 update.

It turns out that people who had previously opted-in to the open beta program were not getting the 2.3 update. We've now fixed this issue, so let me know if you continue to have problems seeing the update notice.

Just exited Muse and launched Muse again and it notified me. 'Zak must hit the server on the head' . It's now working. Thanks.
