>on a suite of computers
Are these computers connected to a network?
And, are you USING that network for anything... such as remapped folder locations?
Premiere does not work properly with a network
-you may NOT "map" your My Documents folder to a network drive
-a work around, of sorts http://forums.adobe.com/thread/957523
-and not on a "domain" http://forums.adobe.com/thread/858977
The computers are running Windows 7, 64 bit edition. They've got quad core processors, about 18 month old and 4GFB of RAM. The only other software of significance is Microsoft Office 2010. All critical and security related Microsoft updates are installed.
The computers are on a network and log on to a domain. Drives are mapped for several purposes, but Premiere is not configured to use any of these. All Adobe related work is done on a second, local partition.
This sounds like user permissions for these Domain accounts. Did they give you admin privileges for your user accounts?
All users are local administrators. As I mentioned in the original post, the Premiere opens at first, then when you close it, it will not run again, regardless of user, reboots or anything else.
We have one drive, split into two partitions.
