Lets say I have a listing of cars. I want the author to be able to add a new car to the list. So they double click the list and a dialogue pops up asking for make, model, etc.
When they click save, I want this to be saved as a new node child under a JCR node I specify (because I want to reuse it later, and have bundles to manipulate the data), with all the data becoming properties of that node.
Is there a way to do this?
You can always use CQ HTTP API in your dialog JS to do that http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/widgets-api/index.html.
Or you can use jcr listner on change property and add it to any location you want. Or in your script you can take property and use cq provided implicite objects (resource, node and all) to save to whatever location want.
Sorry if I am missing something obvious in requirnment.
