WMM captures as DV type 1, where most editing programs want DV type 2. If the footage is in fact DV, that is likely your issue. Was it a Hi8 or D8 camera?
Can you transcode with AME? DV type 1 should be wokable in several programs.
Okey. I know it is DV from a D8 camera. I am trying right now to convert it into type 2, see if that works. Transcoding it in AME didn't work.
But why does it work in CS5 but not in CS6???
google "convert dv type 1 to dv type 2".
I saw a Ulead app the should work, unless WMM does something really weird with the files.
The files might be messed up because I just read that CS6 supports DV type 1 in the CS6 white papers.
No other processing happened with the files? Just captured them with WMM? Was it a proprietary firewire card? You might try VLC media player to see what the exact codec is, then perhaps convert the files with VLC as well.
