What is the graphics adapter you have, and what is your driver version?
Hello Mr Smith. Thank you for your response. Sorry if I did not make myself clear.
-Firsly I am using Premier Pro CS6 Version 6.0.2.
-I have no third party codecs installed.
-The problem started about a week ago, but up until then it was fine. It still works on my iMac, only difference between the two computers is my iMac has a newer OS and has double the ram. I also use the program tribble screen on the iMac, but I don't think that should make a difference as I still have the Program and Source monitors on the main screen.
-I am using a New Macbook Pro (bought a few months ago) with no upgrades. As far as I know it has a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and has 4GB 1600 MHz DDRs installed.
-I am using Mac OS X Version 10.7.4
Can I give you any more info? I am affraid I am not very well clued up on hardware details, so apologies if I am not very clear. Thanks again for your help.
I really can't help any more with a Mac... over on the Windows side, I would say to go to the hardware vendor for the graphics adapter and make sure the driver is up to date
For example... my computer has an nVidia GTX285 graphics adapter, with driver 296.10 and CS5... and everything works perfectly
Your symptoms SEEM like a driver that needs to be updated... but I have NO idea what you do for a Mac
I will say that CS6 and only 4Gig of ram is going to be slow... I read somewhere else that Adobe's stated MINIMUM is 8Gig
Go to the CS5 Benchmark http://ppbm5.com/ (also used for CS6) to see where your computer would sit in the ranking
You're right in the way that it is very slow, but as it is only for locations that is not a big issue to me. Thanks for your help anyway.
