I digitally signed a PDF file and emailed it to a client. He tells me he cannot see the digital signature and that it's blank. I included a screen capture image in the body of my email, and he said he sees the digital signature there (which is what I see in the document) but when he opens the document itself that area is blank.
What causes that and how do I fix it?
He's probably not using Acrobat or Reader. My guess is he's using the Preview application on the Mac, which does not support digital signatures.
Yep! My client just replied and said it might be his OSX. Pretty dumb of Apple. Now I have to mail him a hard copy.
If he needs to do this a lot, Reader is freely available for the Mac.
