When I open Premiere Pro CS5 on my macintosh all of my videos (.MOV) in the project begin to upload and after about 80% of them get uploaded the system freezes and I have to force it to shut down. I need to get these files imported but I do not know how without Premiere Pro CS5 freezing up. Please assist.
Honestly I'd consider importing them one at a time, instead of all once. This way you can hopefully be able to isolate if it's just one file that's causing the issue.
I do have a few questions though
- What codec is inside the .mov container? (If you dont know how to check the codec you can download media info for MAC's)
- What version of Premiere cs5 are you running currently?
- Do all of the video's play okay in other media players?
Adding to what CN25 said (is it OK to abbreviate?)
