Using a path for users and groups

    phil.ny

When I create a user or a group, I have the option to specify a path.

What is the criteria to be used to determine if I need to dedicate a set of groups and roles into a dedicated directory?

Does locating all the users for a given app into a path make setting overal permissions easier?

Also, do i simply go into crxde to create this new directory? users app does not seem to have this function

      Thanks.

If you are jackrabbit user management API then it would get created under /home/users or /home/ groups by default. Split happen based on securitymanager configuration under repository.xml.

You also have option to specify intermediate path during create if you want. Look for jackrabbit user manager API.
