How do you change a Reader to become a Colaborator?

I am trying to chage status of a Reader to become a Colaborator, and it says "you have already shared the file with this person". Help?

Select the user on the collab bar at the bottom. In the upper right corner of the "tile" that is that user is a triangle widget. Click it and you can change their role.
If you have trouble finding still I can provide screenshots.
