    Drop-down list select index

    ustech07
      Form with dropdown list (from countries table) -- how to select $_SESSION['country'] from the recordset so it corresponds with userfile.country table? Recordset of country is showing -- bit it defaults to the last record, instead of the country in my userfile table.

      Thanks.

      Dreamweaver->List/Menu (dropdown) - Dynamic ->recordset

          just set initial value to $_SESSION['Country'] and you shoudl be fine. (I
          think there's a UI way of doing it, just look in the dyanmic box).

            yeah man, just put $_SESSION['Country'] in the "Select value equal to" box
            at the bottom of your dynamic form elements dialog box.

            If you're not getting the correct results, a) make sure you have session
            turned on b) echo your session and ensure it's in numerical format (or a
            format matching the ID on your select box.
