OS: Windows 7 32-Bit
Web Broswer: Firefox 15.01
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 11.4.402.26
Hi guys,
Ever since the end of June, I've been having this problem with my browsers where some videos just show the rotating loading symbol, but never play. Sites that I know still work are: Youtube, Vimeo, CollegeHumor, and BlogTV. Sites that don't work, however, are Sockshare, Putlocker, Mental Zero, and many videos on the Pornhub network. It recently began to work again, but ever since last week, I've begun having this problem again. If it makes any difference, most of the videos that don't work seem to be JW Player videos. Another thing is that shorter videos usually do eventually play if I leave them loading for a few minutes. My roommate is experiencing this same problem on his own computer. I've tried uninstalling flash player, reinstalling flash player, getting an older version of flash player, and nothing seems to fix this problem. Could someone help me with this?
Thanks.

I have this same problem. Started about a week ago. I couldn't play any videos from sites like blip. I figured it was slow connection, server problems... but I just tried an experiment. I let an episode of deep space nine load for over an hour with the little flash thingy circling endlessly and no video playing. Then suddenly the video started playing and the entire video had loaded.
So, obviously there's some setting that's gone wacky. Youtube videos play right away and buffers normally. I'd had this problem on virtually every flash video site except for youtube and Hulu, the videos start playing as soon as they've buffered a little. Same problem on every browser I tried.
And, no I haven't found any real solution.

Yeah, Blip doesnt' seem to be working for me, either... do you have no problems with Vimeo, as well?

Haven't tried it, but this wait for it to load thing is working for me. It's taking forever but the videos are playing eventually. Flash is downloading the entire video before the swirling thingy goes away and the video plays.
No settings have had any effect, and strangely downgrading to flash 10.3 had no effect so if it's not flash I can't begin to guess what it might be.

I don't know -- to be blunt, when I tried downgrading Flash, a lot more videos began working on Pornhub. I'm not sure if that was by chance, but other sites like Putlocker still had the loading problem. Hopefully we can get some help with soon.

same thing is happening with me, flash is only working on certain flash video tube sites, worldstarhiphop.com is not working properly only the short videos are the ones that load properly, xhamster.com is not working properly neither....yet Youtube loads perfectly and normal...I've tried uninstalling the current flash version and downgrading and nothing...same results....i even tried uninstalling my antivirus thinking it's not letting flash run correctly....and still.....nothing..... can you guys get this to work?...its been about a week already....Thanks!

K, number one, this forum is posting spam messages under my user name, and I have to keep deleting it so adobe, fix that issue to because I'm not posting those. And number two...
Blip works. It just takes FOREVER to fully load before the swirly flash thingy goes away and the video plays. And thanfully you get a commercial mid video then the loading takes even longer.
All I can say is try and let the videos fully load until it starts playing because there's no solution that I can find that fixes this problem. The only way I know a video is actually loading with the swirly flash thingy is the lights on my modem are blinking with nothing else connecting.
Again, no problems with youtube or Hulu and some other sites. Videos load up right away.
And, yes, I tried some porn sites and the issue is there to... I just let a porn video load for about 20 minutes and it played.

@anarchist86ed - I'd recommend changing your adobe.com password asap.
It sounds like these are network issues, especially if downgrading to 10.3 doesn't resolve the problem. Does this happen with all browsers? Can you give us exact URL's to try?

Anarchist86ed - It appears that this might be an autoresponse from your email. I'd recommend running a virus and malware scanner asap.

Hmmm...
Videos are now loading properly for me on SOME sites. Lending evidence to some non flash issue.

Here are two links that don't work for me. Again, the video just continues loading and doesn't begin.
Could it really be an issue with our network when YouTube and all works just fine? Could you expand on that a bit? Thanks!

Caputalis - I had no problems running the video from blip.tv with Internet Explorer, Firefox 15 and Flash Player 11.4.402.265. The video started playing almost immediately after buffering. No pauses or interruptions. Have you tried a browser other than Firefox?
Your link to putlocker.com appears to be broken, most likely due to copyright claims and putlocker removing the video.
Thanks,
Chris

Yeah, I've got this problem in Chrome and Internet Explorter, as well. I don't understand why YouTube, Vimeo, and Hulu videos are working perfectly, but these other site's videos don't. Could that really have to do with my connection? Is there anything you can think of that I could do to try and fix it?

Dear Adobe, please do something with it. I have THE SAME problem.
Videos doesn't play until are fully buffered. For some clips it takes ages to start even playing Surprisngly YouTube or Vimeo works fine...
Windows 8.1
GPU: Intel HD Graphics Family + NVidia GeForce 840M
CPU: Intel Core i3
Newest versions of all drivers and browsers.
No solution described above helped. Problem still unsolved

Hmm, I've tried this video in the following configs, and I have no problem with it starting immediately:
Windows 7 x64 with IE 11, Firefox 35.0.1, Chrome 41 and Flash Player 17.0.0.134
MacOS 10.9.5 with Chrome 41, Firefox 35.0.1, Safari 7.1.4 and Opera 28 with Flash Player 17.0.0.134
Win10 with IE 11, Firefox 35.0.1 and Chrome 41 with Flash Player 17.0.0.134.
It's been my experience that there's usually a third-party application in play whenever people run into this. I've *never* seen this in the lab.
Sometimes it's "Internet Security" or software firewall packages, sometimes it's video downloader or anti-tracking, ad-blocking plug-ins running in the browser.
You'll basically just have to start disabling stuff until you can isolate what it is that's causing the issue.
I don't know what browser you're using, so I can't get a lot more specific than that.

Same issues here. I don't think it's a network issue. Only happen on my new Acer laptop with a Nvidia 650M video card. Running Firefox 15 or IE 8.0 with Windows 7. My older desktop has no issues at all at the exact same time and same video.
Eventually the video will play on the laptop, but takes almost 5 minutes sometimes. Plays right away onthe desktop. Desktop is Windows XP with IE7 and Firefox 15. I thought it was the Optimus settings, but it didn't make a difference no matter how I set it up.
Some sites load, many don't unless I wait.

An update -- the videos were working great at the start of the month until now. I woke up to an "Updates for Windows were successfully installed" notification on my computer. Also, it wanted me to update Shockwave, so I did. Now the videos aren't working again.

You can do that, but I wouldn't recommend it. You're missing a few years of security fixes.

If using Firefox, go to addons and select disable, save, then reopen the the addons and reactivate. This should solve the problem, it has for me.

How to save after disable addons? and how to reactivate?
I did disabled them all, restarted and enabled but still got the problem
