Hello, I am new to Indesign and still do not spend a lot of time working on it. However, I have exported an A3 page to Adobe PDF (Print) and the black lines in the placed PDF's in the file are printing white when I print the PDF on my printer.
Has anyone seen this before? Is there something wrong with the PDF that I am placing in the file.
I'd be grateful of any answers as I am at a deadend street with this one.
What application are you using to open and print the PDF?
Adobe Acrobat X and Adobe Reader X.
Both are having the problem.
OK, those are the applications that ought to work (unlike Mac Preview, which is terrible for complex PDF).
Can you show us some screen shots of a PDF that gets placed, the ID page after it's placed (in normal and overprint preview modes), and the final PDF? Zoom in enough so we can see the details, and maybe inidcate which lines don't print if it isn't obvious. You can embed them in a post by using the camera icon on the web page like this:
