    Playback Bug

    Dan Wolfe Community Member

I've noticed a bug in Prelude.  when using JKL to shuttle through footage, if you're rewinding and you hit the space bar Prelude does not pause.  you have to hit L to change direction and only then will pause by spacebar work.

      pretty frustrating

You are right Dan. I have the same problem over here. The K-key also doesn't work to stop. It's driving me nuts.

We have tried to reproduce this issue and so far cannot. What platform? What version of Prelude? Does this happen with all types of media or just a certain kind?

            Thanks.

              Hello Wes,

              I'm using a Mac Pro (4.1) 8-Core Intel Xeon 2.66 GHz, 32 GB RAM and Mac OS-X 10.6.8

              My Prelude version is: 1.0.2 (027 (MC:218798))

I've only installed the Production Premium 6 Suite last week, so I only did some testing with the AVCHD (*.MTS) material from a Sony HDR-XR550VE camcorder. Nothing was encoded to another format. It happens with every clip. The footage is stored on a Sonnet Fusion D400QR5 with 6 Terrabyte in RAID 5 mode.

Tomorrow I will test some XDCAM HD footage from a Professional Disc.

Thank you very much in advanced!

              Greetings,

              Ivan

curiously enough, I only have the problem on my Mac Pro (mid 2010, 12 core) and not on my MacBook Pro (15 inch, early 2011).  both macs running OSX 10.8.2 and Prelude 1.0.2

Today I also tried it with some XDCAM HD footage. No encoding, just pulled the clips of the Professional Disc. The results were just the same.
