I'm new to Adobe Premiere from Final Cut. In Final Cut 7 they recommend that you convert your h.264 footage into Apple ProRez before editing. This is a big pain for me because after shooting on my Canon D5, it's time-consuming and space-consuming to convert all the footage shot to this big file size. I'd much rather be able to edit in h.264 and then output to 1080p full rez.
From what I understand we can do this in Premiere Pro CS6. Is this correct. I hope so because I just edited my latest short this way and I'm hoping to output it in full quality.
Edit your footage natively and out put to whatever you want is how we roll in Adobe Premiere..if thats what you are asking.
That is exactly what I wanted to hear. I love that! That will make life so much easier. So far I'm really liking Premiere. I don't know why more people don't use it.
Plenty of smart people use it.
