Bill@VT Sep 24, 2012 7:28 AM (in response to kenifriedman)First, try from the software that came with the scanner and any other graphics software that can access the scanner. Do those work? If not, you may have a scanner issue, not an Acrobat issue.

Also check with Epson, if they have Twain Drivers for your scanner.
Acrobat supports TWAIN drivers and if it is not installed on your machine, ask Epson to provide it to you.

kenifriedman Sep 25, 2012 6:05 AM (in response to Bill@VT)As it turns out, Acrobat 10.1.4 does scan. Some of the scans do take some time to complete. Some of the documents I scanned has a lot of small print that apparently is the cause of this.
