1. Re: How to brush across multiple layers
Howard Pinsky Sep 23, 2012 4:13 PM (in response to TechHaven)Hi, TechHaven!
There are a few things you can do in this situation.
The simplest, is to create a new, blank layer on top of your current images, and sign your name on the new layer. This way, no matter which image is visible, the signature will always be visible.
The second thing you can do, is create a brush of your signature:
Create a new document with a transparent background, that will fit your signature. It's a good idea to create it a bit larger when working with custom brushes.
Once the document is up, sign your name, filling the whole document.
Now, under the Edit menu, find the Define Brush Preset option, and name your brush. Don't worry if it looks squished. It's just the preview.
Now, when you select a brush, you'll have your new signature brush available to you at the bottom.
A single click will 'sign' your images.
Hope this helps!

Pierre Courtejoie Sep 24, 2012 12:07 AM (in response to Howard Pinsky)Hello! To Howard's solution, I will add that it is not possible, as you noticed, to apply a brush stroke to multiple layers.
You might want to use the ALT+[ Shortcut to go to the next layer down the stack.
If you have too many documents, creating an action might be a path to pursue.
(I guess that you stacked layers in the same document, to be able to export them to a gallery?)
