1. Re: AI CS6 problems at exit
Larry G. Schneider Sep 28, 2012 1:08 PM (in response to Rodieck)The most likely source of the problem is permissions. AI will stop if it can't write the preferences files on shutting down. Make sure that you have the proper permissions set on Users/(user)/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CSX Settings

Rodieck Sep 29, 2012 12:27 PM (in response to Larry G. Schneider)I always run AI as Administtrator, so I don't think that's the problem. I would like to check those settings, though, but I'm having trouble finding them. I'm looking at
Users/(me)/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS6 Settings/en_US/x64 -- and then what?
Thanks.

PrintFusion45 Oct 1, 2012 2:11 PM (in response to Rodieck)Right click on the Adobe Illustrator CS6 Settings folder and select Properties. Then click Security tab and look for your current account. Click on the current account name and see the applied permissions to it. There should be a tick beside Full Control which will mean that you have full permissions applied to the Adobe Illustrator CS6 Settings folder. If you dont see the tick beside full control, you will have to add permissions to it by clicking on Edit button. Then choosing your current account click the Full control checkbox under Permissions for your current account. Hit Ok twice to apply the permissions.

Nishant Kumar Thakur Oct 1, 2012 10:00 PM (in response to Rodieck)Hi Rodieck,
Could you please try exiting AI by selecting "File->Exit" and clicking "X" on title bar? Are their behavior same? Are you getting "Adobe Illustrator CS6 has stopped working" in both the cases?
